Greg and I served as paratroopers with the 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam …Unbelievably…54 years before. He was a good soldier. The Best. His behavior and conduct always exhibited bravery and courage w/a special empathy and compassion toward the miseries of war. He was above reproach. He served w/honor and distinction. And. Later Greg has always been a Loving and devoted husband and father. Even though we only had the opportunity to visit 5 times in the last 54 years. We always remained in close contact. I knew his friendship and counsel was just a phone call away. I’ll miss that. But. I’m content with the feeling of his continued presence. I was and always have been and always will be humbled and honored to be his friend…. And…. Until that moment when I draw my last breath…. proud and privileged to call him my best friend. I shall miss him. As we all will. But. I take solace in the faith that I will again be united with Greg in Valhalla. I can only humbly offer to his family my most sincere and heartfelt condolences and sorrow at his passing and offer to them all my continued regard and devotion and love 💗…. Thank You

In all of my interactions, prior, during and after funerals, Farnstrom Mortuary has been so helpful, kind, caring, attentive in both the preparation and the process of handling the passing of both my parents. This is a beautiful online service, allowing us to send a condolence to the family. The artwork dedicated to a US Veteran is a wonderful tribute. It is very, hard to lose a friend and not be able to know what happened to him or where he spent his last days. But, getting to write a condolence is all I have, right now. Thank you for offering this service.
