Patricia Kay Hardman was born to Roland & Edna on 9/15, 1944. She joined her older sister, Ronna, living on the family farm in Independence - Sunset Farms.
Growing up she attended local country grammar schools, worked on the farm, rode her retired circus pony, and took flying lessons to become a pilot like her dad.
She attended Salem Academy HS where she met Don Ediger. They were married on February 7, 1964. There were so many friends and family that showed up to celebrate with them that they ran out of cake. We think this possibly contributed to her need to always be prepared to feed an army!
They were blessed with 3 daughters - Kim Brown, Kristy Cassell and Kari Meyer - and built their home on her family's farm. Pat worked as the bookkeeper for the family business, Ediger's Church Furniture, but devoted most of her time to raising her family, which was her greatest joy. Her love for Christ was shown in how she loved and served others. She and Don served in multiple capacities at their church, teaching Sunday school, serving as a deacon/deaconess, working in Awanas, leading a young married Bible study and then youth group later in life.
Along the way they were also blessed with six grandchildren - Donovan, Susannah & Cami Cassell; Zachary, Allison & Bri Meyer. Pat supported Don in all of his businesses and adventures, but her greatest joy was raising her kids and spending time with her grandkids.
On Jan 29th, 2022 Pat lost the love of her life. In the following years she battled several health issues, had multiple surgeries, and overcame cancer. Heaven finally called her home to be with Don on Oct 15th, 2025, but her legacy of loving people and serving Christ will live on.
