Nellie Frances (Waldron) Carrillo
11-29-1932 ~ 02-20-2026
Nellie was born to Lester & Hazel Waldron in Roseau Minnesota. The family moved to Oregon in the mid 1940's.
Nellie married Alvin Speten and had 4 children. They later divorced and she was remarried to Francisco (Frank) Carrillo. They had 3 children.
She worked in retirement facilities as an LPN, loved it very much. She also worked at Fairview Training Center. She loved children and was 'Mom/Grandma' to ALL she came into contact with. Over the years we had many friends live with us who needed a place to be. She never had a bad word about anyone. She was the kindest, sweetest lady you could ever meet. She had a lot of trauma and health issues over the years, but never dwelled or complained. She was the center and rock of our Family. To know her was to love her. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester & Hazel Waldron, Brothers Lester, Clark & Ted Waldron, Sisters, Gloria Davis, Florine Nordine, Kitty Hara. Sons, Richard & Wayne Speten, Daughter Toni Place, Granddaughter Christina Speten and her Husband Francisco (Frank) Carrillo.
She is survived by her son Andy Speten, Daughters, Sharon Gonzales, Tami Siegfried and Marcy Carrillo. 12 Grandkids and 42 Great Grandkids and multiple G.G. Grandkids.
We are having a Celebration of Life for her and Toni on July 11th 2026 from 12-4pm at the Gentle Woods Park in Monmouth, Oregon. Pot Luck and ALL are Welcome.
