Florine Lillian Gibson-KentAugust 25, 1928 - March 8, 2015Florine Lillian Gibson-Kent was born August 25, 1928 in Oakhurst, Oklahoma to Earl Victor and Delia Helena Gibson. She passed away March 8 in Dallas, Oregon at the age of 86.Florine graduated from Daniel Webster High in 1946, and earned a HRT degree at Chemeketa Community College. She worked as a CNA at the Oregon State Hospital. She married Jesse Lee Kent on September 26, 1946 in Oklahoma. A member of Dallas Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Florine volunteered at H2O for 14 years. She enjoyed reading the Bible, sewing, genealogy, furthering her education and helping others, and had a very laid-back and super sweet personality. She was set apart by her sense of humor, her positive attitude, patience and sweet personality. She loved her family and her No. 1 dream was to go to heaven. Florine was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Kent. Surviving family members include sons Stephen L Kent of Oro Valley, Arizona, and Roy Kent of Mill City, Oregon; daughters Jewell Kent-Weston and Elizabeth Kent-Miller of Dallas, Oregon; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
