Leoncio G. Reyna January 14, 1926 ~ December 26, 2005 Independence On December 26, 2005, Leoncio Reyna was honored to be called to his Lord's home. He now celebrates the birth of our Christ with the other angels in the Lord's kingdom. He was born in Richmond, TX, on January 14, 1926 to Juan and Maria G Reyna. He moved with his wife, Manuela and his seven children to Oregon in 1960. He and his family are long standing community members of the Independence, Salem area. Leoncio was a home builder/carpenter and later became a reforestation contract worker. He loved nature's forest, especially Oregon's luscious green fir, pine and cedar trees, he was a history buff, was an avid reader and loved western novels. Leoncio is survived by his wife, Manuela who resides in Independence and 7 of his children, Mary, Leoncio, Luis, Juan, Yolanda, Margie, their adopted daughter, Rosalinda and preceded in death by his son, Daniel. He is loved and honored by his children, 23 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at St. Patrick's Church in Independence at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2005. Viewing and memorial services will be held at St. Patrick's church on Wednesday, December 28 and Thursday, December 29 at 6:00 p.m. as well as a viewing on Friday, December 30th at 9:30 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence..
