Obituary, Fess Hensley March 15, 1929 ~ August 26, 2007 Fess Hensley of Monmouth, Oregon died August 26, 2007 at his home at the age of 78. Fess was born March 15, 1929 in Elizabethton, Tennessee to Lawrence and Mae Caldwell Hensley. Being the oldest son he took care of his family during the depression. He joined the Army at the age of 16 and was stationed in New York, Denver and San Francisco. On May 7, 1949 he married Marlene Burger Rossville, Georgia. They lived in Detroit for 2 years then moving to California. He worked for Lockheed for 32 years retiring in 1988. After retirement they moved to Weaverville, California and after 10 years they got tired of the snow and moved to Red Bluff bought 3 acres, after a injury they sold the 3 acres and moved to Redding, Sparks, Nevada and then to Monmouth, Oregon. Fess enjoyed fishing, camping and reading. Survivors: Marlene Hensley Wife Monmouth, Oregon Thomas D. Hensley Son Liberty Hill, Texas Kevin B. Hensley Son Roseville, California Edward Hensley Brother San Francisco, California Loretta Miletich Sister San Jose, California 6 grandchildren Preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday August 31st at the Independence First Baptist Church.
