Survivors include daughter Deanna E. Kern of Wilsonville, Oregon, Sons Dennis Marilyn Kern of Albany, Oregon and David A. Kern of Roseburg, Oregon. 5 grandchildren living in Oregon, Idaho and Dover, Delaware. Ferne worked for Independence / Monmouth School systems for many years, and later retired from Western Oregon University. She loved many hobbies especially camping and traveling and she loved crafts. A Memorial Service will be 11:00 am Monday April 2, 2007 at Monmouth Christian Church. Arrangements Entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence.
